Passion and dedication can
make the difference. There have been tons of bands that combine melody
with harshness and try to sound heavy and unique at the same time.
Lancaster, PA's THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE are one of the few that succeeded
with this concern. Their LIFEFORCE RECORDS debut “Monuments” gained
attention due to the fact it sounded self-confident and different. Ever
since their beginnings about four years ago THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE have
set themselves apart from expectations and tried to hit people
unpredictable. Their new album “Haunt Whats Left” continues this way.
THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE are stepping outside the box to create something fresh and relevant to stand their ground. “Haunt What's Left” is having a lasting effect by focussing on an intuitional yet elaborated songwriting and formidable craft. Striking hooklines and pleasing heavy music are the guidelines that lead through the record. THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE are willing to improve on what they do well without pushing the experimental side too hard. This is what keeps “Haunt What's Left” interesting and stirring. Producers Josh Wilbur (Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold) and Chris Adler (of Lamb Of God) contributed a powerful sound that enables THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE to present themselves at their best.
