South Carolina's THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD's, third album, "Skepsis" hits the streets today, via PROSTHETIC RECORDS. The self-produced effort is the first TTEOTD release to feature new vocalist Danny Rodriguez, drummer Mike Ranne and guitarist Chris "Hank" Henckel. The album was recorded at Geller Cellar Studios in New York and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall), and features cover art by Paul Romano (Mastodon, Trivium).
The album is available at stores, through all digital sites and via the PROSTHETIC webshop. Guitarist Justin Longshore commented on the new release: "Our new record 'Skepsis' finally captures the sound we've always envisioned. We really wanted to raise the bar with this one but also keep the consistency that Through The Eyes Of The Dead is known for. Overall, everyone has become better at their instruments and it really shows on the record. I have no doubt in my mind that new and old fans of the band will be pleased when they hear it!" Since signing with Prosthetic in 2005, TTEOTD has SoundScanned nearly 60,000 copies and toured with a who's who of heavy music, perhaps most notably as part of the now-legendary 2006 Sounds of the Underground tour that featured a stacked lineup of metal gods In Flames, Trivium, Behemoth, Cannibal Corpse, GWAR, The Black Dahlia Murder, As I Lay Dying and more. The band will hit the road supporting Otep, along with Bury Your Dead and Destrophy later this month and throughout March. |
