After being formed in Sweden 2007, 5th Sonic Brigade have reached the charts number one place in Sweden 3 times. The bands music has not only been compared with Foo Fighters and Queens Of The Stone Age but also with acts like Iggy Pop, White Stripes and Blur. With this album 5th Sonic Brigade really nails it. TIMELINE 2007-2010
2007

5th Sonic Brigade were formed by Peter Samuelsson and Marcus Öhrn. Both Marcus and Peter were tired of playing in bands that sings in Swedish and also wanted to do something in a different direction. They decided to put something out immedietely and the result was the single "If You Could Only See" released april 19. In july the single started to climb the charts in Sweden and finally reached number one on I-tunes. The single is also did well on radio and other charts in Sweden like "Trackslistan" and "Digilistan".

This little idea of starting a band had now gotten serious so the search began for members to join the band. Alice Cooper´s right hand Ryan Roxie joined in on guitar. On drums they picked Henry Ranta whom just left Soilwork and on keyboard Mikael Axelius.

2008

The writing for the debut album started in February and in April the band released the song "Kiss Of Death" as a single. Even "Kiss Of Death" reached number one on I-tunes and got heavy rotation on P3 Rockster on Sveriges Radio. After that the song writing continued all through the year.

2009

January 1, "Stop!" was released as an EP with the titletrack in five different versions. The whole concept was called "Rockstar" and challenged the listener to play the instrument himself so if you were a drummer you chose "Rockstar Drummer Version". The song "Stop!" were also nominated as "Song of the week" at yoursongs.se which led to that it was downloaded by 120.000 members.

On April 2 they released the single for "The Whooo Song" which pretty fast had over 6.000 listeners on Spotify and in one week 3.800 downloads on I-tunes which led the way right up on number one on the charts. April 24 the band had their first concert and release party for the upcoming debut album which was released may 8.

On June 3rd the band began their first summertour of Sweden (incl 2 dates in Finland). The first show was filmed for an upcoming live-dvd and on July 10 they released "The Whooo Song - Club Edition" a remix made by Seabisquit (Sweden Radio) feat. Basic Element. The re-mix were by far one of the most played songs on Swedish dance floors in the summer of 2009.

In the middle of the summer tour the band started recording "Angel Of Mercy", a contribution for the upcoming November 13 release "ReUnation – A Tribute To Running Wild" and on October 1st they released yet another
single "God Damn" which also reached number one on I-tunes download chart.

In October they also signed sponsor deal with the American clothing line "Christopher Tod" whom also releases their five favorite 5th Sonic tracks on an EP released October 20.

5th Sonic Brigade has landed sponsor deals with Renault, Swedish car-retailers Bilia and Filipa K.

2010

In 2010 the band is looking forward to begin seriously touring. Being support act to the reunited Accept and some dates with D.A.D are some of the things that´s in the works. Also some new material for 2011 will be written.
