“Back To The Basics”!

In case of savatage/Trans-Siberian Orchestra guitarist CHRIS CAFFERY this clearly shows in his 4th solo effort „House Of Insanity“, an album that apperas to be stilisticaly near to bands like (of course) Savatage and Doctor Butcher, but without using too bombastic arrangements or epic choirs. In fact it´s more oriented on the early, raw sound of the early Savatage releases, refined with Caffery´s own flavor.

In ex-Savatge/Circle II Circle frontman Zak Stevens Chris found a great duet partner for the Savatage-like epic track „Solitaire“, the pushing title track or “I Won´t Know” build up even more energy and only the ballads “Madonna” and “Winter In Hamburg” slow down in pace. “House Of Insanity” is a delivery from CHRIS CAFFERY that combines a Savatage-inspired style with his own personality.  

In his artistic life Caffery has seen it all and left his marks in the Rock/Metal scene. He is way more than “just” a member of the cult band Savatage (that definitely called it quits 2 years ago). Together with Jon Oliva he founded the project Doctor Butcher whose sound brought back memories of savatage classics like “Hall Of The Mountain King”. Also Chris was the main man (member/producer/songwriter) behind the debut of German Power Metal band Metalium, a chart success in many European countries.

CHRIS CAFFERY knows what a song needs, so no wonder that he became an often-requested guest musician and so far played on albums of starts like DORO, Circle II Circle, Metal Chruch Tim Ripper Owens (ex-Judas Priest), Joe Lynn Turner and many more.
Not to forget: as member of muti-platinum awarded Trans-siberian Orchestra Caffery toured the USA very successful for many years.
